What space do I need to hire a gazebo?

Size
The space must measure at least the size of the gazebo with a few inches clear either side.

Obstructions
The space for the gazebo needs to be clear.

This means no washing lines, trampolines, walls or trees!

Ground
The ground needs to be reasonably level so that we can lay flooring.

The gazebo legs are adjustable so can accommodate approx. 30cm difference in ground level e.g. onto slightly raised decking

Grass or Hard Standing?
Our gazebos can go on both grass and hard standing.

We may need to assess the area if it is hard standing

Hiring an instant-frame gazebo from JIG Marquees is a fantastic way of providing cover for an event at your home or at a venue. The gazebos we hire out are commercial grade i.e. built to withstand the British weather, whatever it may throw at us. This style of gazebo is not to be confused with the cheap ones available online that collapse after one use! All our gazebos are built with strong aluminium frames and have white canopies and sidewalls. We replace our equipment on a regular basis and make sure that canopies and sidewalls are cleaned before we hire them to you. All our tents are completely waterproof. The material used allows light to diffuse so that they are bright during the day whilst providing protection from the sunlight. We have a variety of different sizes of gazebo available to hire. The smallest size is 3x3m. Other widths available are 4m, 4.5m and 6m. This style of gazebo is modular, meaning they can be linked together to create a whole host of different sizes. The frames of the gazebos are clamped together and the canopies are linked with a waterproof gutter to create one continuous space for you and your guests. Being modular also means that our gazebos are very versatile at fitting in awkward gardens or spaces that a traditional marquee may not be able to. Each gazebo comes with a full set of sidewalls including a door wall, window walls and plain walls. Before we set the gazebo up, our team will check with you which style of wall you want where. We will always ask you where you want guests to enter into the gazebo so that we can make sure the door is in the best position. The doors can be left rolled up or you can let them drop down so that the space is enclosed. One of the benefits of this style of tent is that the sidewalls can be left off if this is more suitable to your event. The window walls all have a roll-up flap so that during the day you can let the light in, however you can drop them down at night to create a more private and cosier atmosphere. Gazebos can be erected on either grass or a hard-standing surface such as a patio or decking. We use pegs to secure the gazebos to the ground or special weights on hard surfaces. It is important that we know what surface you want to hire a gazebo for so that we can bring the right equipment on the day to fasten the tent safely. We also peg down sidewalls on grass and use metal bars to weight the sidewalls down on hard standing surfaces to make sure the sheets stay in place if it is windy. We will be able to answer any questions about this at the time of booking.
